Itinerary

Our representative will meet you as you leave the Bandaranaike International Airport and serve as your chauffeur for the remainder of this 8-day popular trip of Sri Lanka. They will take you straight to Sigiriya. It will be decided whether you should visit the Dambulla Cave Temple based on the time you land in Sri Lanka. Otherwise, a later time will be set aside for the visit to the Dambulla Temple. Stay the night at Sigiriya. Sri Lanka's Dambulla cave temple, sometimes referred to as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 1991. The Dambulla cave monastery is still in use and is Sri Lanka's best-preserved ancient structure. This structure was already established as one of the biggest and most significant monasteries by the third and second centuries BC. During the 15 years that he was exiled from Anuradhapura, King Valagambahu sought protection here from South Indian usurpers. In the first century BC, the king rebuilt his capital there and turned the caves into a temple. Further additions by numerous subsequent rulers made the caverns into the important religious center they are today by the 11th century.

You will be taken to the historic city of Polonnaruwa early on the second day so you can explore the Cholas Dynasty's remains there. You can then have a delicious and genuine Sri Lankan rice and curry lunch! After that, you'll be taken by car to the Minneriya National Park for a safari trip of the area where you can view lots of elephants. You'll be taken back to your accommodation after the safari is over. At Sigiriya, you will spend the night. In Sri Lanka, Polonnaruwa was a great city that rose to prominence during its brief lifespan of two centuries, coming in second only to the ancient metropolis of Anuradhapura.

Following enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, you will be taken to the renowned Sigirya Rock, where you will get the chance to ascend to the top of this age-old rock fortification. You will then be taken to Kandy, a renowned and stunning city. A stop at a spice garden is scheduled for the route. You will then be driven directly to the Kandy hotel. Sigiriya is a crumbling palace and old rock castle surrounding by the remnants of a huge network of gardens, reservoirs, and other buildings. King Kassapa constructed the historic stronghold that is Sigiriya in the fifth century AD. It is a well-liked vacation spot. In addition to having everything, Sigiriya also possesses important prehistoric paintings (frescos) from India's Ajanta Caves. The Sigiriya rock is said to be a solid chunk of granite from a volcano that has long since eroded. The rock itself towers 370 meters (1,214 feet) above the surrounding plain and is clearly visible four kilometers in all directions. The Sigiriya site includes the ruins of a lower palace that clings to the slopes below the rock, the walls and gardens that extend for hundreds of meters out from the base of the rock, the Lion Gate and the mirror wall with its frescoes on the mid-level terrace, and the ruins of an upper palace that is situated on top of the rock. Despite its antiquity, the palace is splendor nevertheless offers a breathtaking window into the creativity and vision of its creators.

Kandy You will have a wonderful opportunity to tour Kandy, the Temple of the Holy Tooth Relic, and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens after a superb breakfast at the hotel. You will then be transported to see a great traditional dance performance in Sri Lanka in the evening. In Kandy, you will stay the night. Temple of the Holy Tooth Relic, also known as the Temple of the Tooth or Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist shrine in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is situated within the complex of the old Kingdom of Kandy's royal palace, which also houses a relic of the Buddha's tooth. Peradeniya The Central Province's Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, are located about 5.5 kilometers to the west of Kandy. Every year, 2 million people come here. The Mahaweli River is nearby. It is well known for its orchid collection. Overnight stay in Kandy.

After good breakfast, you will be driven to Nuwara Eliya. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, you will have an opportunity to view some beautiful waterfalls and tea plantations. If a train is available at the time of your arrival to the station, you can enjoy a breathtaking train ride to Ella, if not you will be driven to Ella by car. You will spend the night in Ella. Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights) is a resort city in the Central Mountain Range of Sri Lanka. Blessed a with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery; it’s hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 180 Km from the Colombo. Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little’ England’, was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create the resort into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club, with its hunting pictures, mounted hunting trophies and fish, and it’s strict formal dinner attire; the 18 hole golf course, race course etc., evoke nostalgia of Colonial British Ceylon. Scenic Train Ride The views on both sides of the rail are breathtaking. The train winds through the mountains overlooking farms and villages and of course vast tea plantations. The scenery changes throughout the trip. Often at times you are looking out at an entire green view then the next minute you are in the middle of a woodland forest. Overnight Ella.

After an enjoyable breakfast, you will need to leave a bit early to see the beautiful and popular places in Ella. Some of these places are, Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. After visiting these places, you will be driven to Tissamaharama to visit the famous Yala National Park. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to view the beautiful water fall named Rawana Falls. Once you arrive at the hotel, you can have your lunch and thereafter you will be driven to the Yala National Park, for a safari tour. After a fabulous and enjoyable safari trip, you will be driven back to the hotel where you can have a rest and spend time at your leisure. You will spend the night in Tissamaharama. Little Adam’s Peak is just one of it. The eye catching, jaw dropping and conspicuous peak is the one not to miss, Situated in Ella, Sri Lanka, it has been attracting tourists for a long time now. The reason for its popularity is the amazing view that never fails to attract and impress the visitors The Nine Arches Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka and is one of the best examples of British railway constructions when Ceylon was yet a colony of the British Empire. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometers (378 sq mi) and is located about 24km northeast of Tissamaharama. There are five blocks in Yala National park and People can only visit block I and II. Yala is an ideal place to see variety of its wild animals, many kinds of birds, snakes Overnight Tissamaharama.

You will be taken to Mirissa after a satisfying breakfast. Once you get in Mirissa, you will spend the night at a hotel there. Your fantasies and ideas of a tropical paradise are pretty much brought to life at Mirissa Beach thanks to its magnificent sandy beach. Some of Sri Lanka's best and most beautiful sunsets and sunrises may be found on this tiny sandy tropical beach. The occasional sound of a coconut crashing to the ground or someone opening a cold drink farther along the beach breaks the silence.

There is not a schedule for the day. This lovely tour will come to an end after breakfast at the hotel, depending on the time of your flight's departure. You will be transported to Bandaranaike International Airport in plenty of time to catch your flight (at least 2-3 hours before your flight). If your flight departs this day in the late afternoon or evening, about 6 pm, we can also arrange for you to go whale watching. If not in accordance with the time, we will also show you the old town of Galle. So, everything depends solely on departure time. One of the most thrilling water activities you can engage in Sri Lanka is whale and dolphin watching at Mirissa. The finest site to begin your tour of whale and dolphin viewing in Sri Lanka is Mirissa. On Sri Lanka's southwest coast sits the city of Galle. Galle Fort, a fortified historic city established by Portuguese immigrants in the sixteenth century, is its most famous feature. Car-free streets are surrounded by stone sea walls that were enlarged by the Dutch and feature architecture that reflects Portuguese, Dutch, and British control.
